I just need someone to host them for me. I have 7 pics of Uday's Ferrari including a close up of the VINI just took them last week, at one of his former palaces
One of the guys here thought it was a corvette, but from a distance I said no it's not,.. it has over-head cams, then closer inspection revealed ir was a V-12, DEF' NOT a corvette.

How did the car end up on the side of the street with the wheels, leather interior and bonnet missing? Strange.
#13
Why didn't anybody steal the engine?I know that spare parts to rebuild it would be extremely hard to find. But I'd love to just shine it up and have it as a decoration piece.

Can you take the heads home as a souvenier?-Andrew

I sent some more pics to host,.. a nice side shot of the motor, and a shot of a palace.![]()
I put my hands on it, and paused 60 seconds of silence, in my mind's eye it was new again, I could feel the g's of acceleration, smell the italian leather, and hear the sound of ferrari exhaust extasy.
I paid my respect to a fallen hero of sports car lore.![]()
I hope you all enjoy!
Tell me what you think?

Wow. That's kind of surreal to look at. That car was once one of the finest cars in the world, and now look at it. I guess that's what happens when your owner is an evil son of a dictator who has made enemies with the United States of America.

E&N you should send those pics into CNN. If that is infact Uday's Ferrari it would make an interesting little story. Great find!ps. if you're a soldier over there, I just wanted to say thanks.

My guess is that it was dragged out and anything removable w/ hand tools was taken. Although I'm not sure what one would do with a 550 door or steering column in Iraq. Graft it onto a Nissan p/u ?!?

It does make for interesting photos...it has a kind of a 'Oh, how the mighty have fallen' thing to it as well as showing just how useless something extremely expensive and desirable as a 550 can be under the right/wrong circumstances.
Hope everyone there gets back safe.....

First off, thanks for being over there, and stay as safe as possible.![]()
Second of all, that Ferrari has not been hit by a rocket, it's been stripped clean and the parts have probably already been sold.
If I were you, I'd take a piece of it home for a suvenir.

Ditto, if it was hit by a rocket there wouldn't be a whole hell of a lot of it yet. Try to take a head off, would make for an interesting conversation piece

Looks like you got to it a bit late. My friend was over there, and had pics of the car with the brake calipers and other stuff on it. He said that soldiers were taking pretty much everything that said ferrari on it. He told me that he's got that piece that sits on top of the intake manifold.
