I'm generally not a fan of wood trim, but that actually looks nice. Looks like a nice matte finish instead of the glossy, plastic look that is in so many luxury cars.I'm not crazy about the wheels, but the rest of the car looks great, even the ATM machine nav console.

Its nice to see the dash still moves with the steering wheel. Thats one this I love about this car...Its very 928ish....

wow! looks very hot, is that like an intergrated lip on the trunk lid?? i like the taillights!. the interior looks very good compared to the current G35. Altho it would be interesting to see it in alluminum trim. The only thing i dont like are the wheels on that car.
#8
Would be nice if the wood trim was polished, makes it look a lot cheaper when it's not IMO.Love it aside from the buldging rear taillight LEDs.

Wow, how did you know it was an Infiniti with the little badge covered with that black tape?! You're good! The guys at Infiniti sure fooled me!
Forum software seems better. Trying to sell my 99.5 TDI with 220k miles.

I like it, makes having a family car not such a bad compromise. Go Infiniti, you're making cars that I like.

Steering wheel looks rather small, but beefy.Other than that, it looks great inside and out.
The IS350 has some serious competition now.
The fact that the G35 is available in stick gives it an enormous edge.

Can't wait to drive this with a 6-speed manual. It should be uber fun, like the 1st-Gen G35 6MT.Good to see they added Paddle Shift for the automatic also!
I wonder what kind of wood they are using, looks interesting.

Only on the Sport package auto.

The interior was the weakest point in this car. This new version is a huge improvement. That steering wheel is friggen awesome. Materials finally look like they should in this class. Appears they are doing some climate control testing. I guess Dubai in the summer is the right place to do that.

It doesn't look like the Rosewood they're using in the current Infinitis...
Anyway, if the sedan looks that good, I can't wait to see the production coupe.

Looks sharp to me. It would be even more attractive without the slushbox.

I never really warmed up to the current G35 sedan, it just always looked a bit off to me. But this looks really nice. This car will do very well

Agree that the matte wood trim looks great. I wonder if it (matte trim) will start becoming available on other brands. Please correct me if I'm wrong - but I thought that the main reason that wood trim was "polished" is the coating that needs to be applied (epoxy?) to ensure that the wood trim doesn't splinter during a crash and impale the occupants (with wood splinters)?

Found something else I don't like.
They could've integrated the exhaust into the rear bumper for a better look.

Awesome is the first thought that comes to mind. Overall, the exterior appears more stylish and elegant than the last generation. And that interiorsimply beautiful! Let's hope the quality of plastics/wood is as good as it looks in these photos.

LOVE IT!!! Entry level luxury is by far the best segment. So many great cars and this new G definitely adds to the segment in every way. Props to Infiniti

lack of manual in the 350 will steer enthusiasts over to the G now that it's redesigned. I think it looks good and will make for a VERY well suited competitor.

Why question his opinion and then just post your own opinion. That makes no sense.

Maybe because the G will have a usable back seat, an available manual transmission and defeatable stability control.
I considered the IS last year, but I'm glad I didn't go for it. I parked my E46 next to one and it may as well be a coupe with that back seat. The Bimmer looked like a freaking 760iL compared to that, and that's not saying much. I dunno about most Lexus buyers, but if I'm buying a sedan, I use the rear doors.

Says who? That's your opinion.
The most compelling reason is that the IS350 isn't available in manual, but of course that's of little importance to a pseudo-enthusiast, such as yourself.

And it's an OPINION to think that the IS should be quaking in its boots. The IS has been a bonafied sales sucess even WITHOUT a stick shift option while the G35 has had one for quite some time.
Your opinion is no more qualified. It's not like the IS is all of a sudden going to fall to its knees with a new G35 on the market.

It sure does, but I honestly felt extremely claustrophobic inside one.
I am hoping that Nissan is going to sell the new Skyline in Australia (they've never done that before).

I think I a lot of people also complained about the IS300 for the same claustrophobic feeling...while others actually LOVED the intimacy. I guess it depends on what you're looking for in an entry-level sedan. If I cared about back seat room, I'd be looking at something like an M35 or GS. If I want an entry-level sedan, I'm more looking into performance and handling.
Call me selfish, but I really don't give crap about the back seat passengers anyway. 95% of the time when I drive, it's by myself or with a passenger in the front seat
